About
Sherry Ward and Evangielyn Battle are the founders of Fleming’s Community Outreach and Resources. We are first cousins with Fleming as our maiden name that grew up in Halifax County,Roanoke Rapids, NC. We want to give back to our community by providing resources to teens for current needs and future goals. Fleming’s Community Outreach and Resources is a Christian based nonprofit and we will incorporate bible based teachings.
Evangielyn Battle has an Associates in Applied Science, Office Systems Technology degree (2003), Associates in General Education (2012) and Licensed Practical Nursing license (2014), all obtained from Halifax Community College. She has worked in customer service since age 15 and is currently a nurse for the past 4 years in the addiction field. In her teenage years God placed in heart that she will one day work with teens but didn’t know in what way. In her young adult life, her life experiences led her to want to start a nonprofit working with teens so that they will have resources and a safe place to communicate their needs.
Sherry Ward of Building Blocks Consulting and Coaching has a passion for helping children and adolescents develop positively in their mental, physical, and spiritual domains. Sherry has been working with youth since the age of 18.
Her passions lead her to attend Elizabeth City State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Juvenile Justice, Kaplan University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development and Capella University where she received a Master’s of Science with a Specialization in Child and Adolescent Development. She is also a Certified Fitness Trainer.
"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." - Matthew 4:19
